This book is awesome!
Listening to the Book on CD, kept us driving everywhere.

We just couldn't stop listening.
It's a book about a 4-year-old girl that survived the holocaust.
It is suspenseful, heartbreaking and most of all, filled with hope.
It really humanizes the Holocaust. This book is definitely worth reading.

This suspenseful fantasy is filled with twists and turns that make this book another favorite for the YA Star Book Review Club. Meggie’s father can "read" fictional characters to life! Dustfinger has been read out of a book and appears at Meggie’s house. This starts a chain of events where more fictional characters are brought to life, and dangerous secrets are revealed. We recommend this book in print and on CD! Stop by the Library today and check it out!

Eleven year-old, Primrose Squarp’s parents have been lost at sea. Now she is forced to live with her uncle. Her only friend is the owner of a local restaurant who always gives her practical advice with a dash of comfort on the side. We give this book a 5 star recommendation!

Booklist Monthly Selections - #2 February 2001 (BOOKLIST) Gr. 5-7. Eleven-year-old Primrose Squarp is an orphan. At least that's what the town of Coal Harbor thinks. Her mother sailed out during a storm to find her fisherman father and neither has been seen since. Primrose, however, knows, just knows, that her parents are alive. First, Primrose lives her with her persnickety baby-sitter. Then her dashing uncle, a developer, comes to Coal Harbor to take care of her and gentrify the town. When his plans go up in smoke, literally, Primrose is sent to an elderly couple as a foster child. Narrated by Primrose, the story is dotted with her pithy observances about the vagaries of life, especially hers…

Twilight by Stephanie Meyer

I just finished Twilight by Stephanie Meyer . It was goooood! I read it in one day and the first half was amazing….a bit of mystery, a bit of comedy, and a eensy bit of romance–the perfect mix. Around the center of the book, it lapsed into way too much romance for my taste, but the end picked right up with the tension and excitement. Good thing the sequel is already out…I can’t wait to read it!
